Another plus for the backlight of the additional screen, when shooting at night is simply irreplaceable. Oh, yeah. The potential of the camera is not revealed by the whale lens 18-55, it's just an insult to this camera. But excellent results with Canon "pancakes" at 22, 40,50 mm, and such lenses are acceptable. Ideally, "screw" F 4 L, 24-70, but it is expensive and, in a crisis, not for everyone. As for high-level amateurs, their camera will not surprise them: the buffer volume is small, it will not work for reportage shooting, the matrix is cropped, and it is noisy. For those who are at the stage of choice and are not so straitened in funds - consider the canon 90d, it is much more interesting.

I realized that the equipment that I have at hand is not enough for me, it was mostly phones or "soap dishes". There was a desire to purchase high-quality equipment. And so, my birthday came, and my beloved husband presented me with the most unexpected (I didn't think he remembered my "wishlist") gift. Camera: Canon EOS 80D (EF-S 18-135 IS USM Kit). There was no end to my joy. I immediately took this handsome man out of the box. I started taking pictures... And I realized that except in auto modes, I can't take pictures. And why do I need a semi-professional camera if I'm going to take photos in auto mode? So I thought about this question. After carefully studying the instructions, a mess formed in my head, and I firmly decided to go to the courses. Now, after finishing the initial courses, I can already appreciate this camera. Of the minuses, it can only be noted that this is not a full-matrix camera. But for me, as a novice amateur photographer, and the matrix is enough for now. Therefore, this is a semi-professional, not a professional camera. The lens that came with the kit, 18-135mm, is not a bad option for itself. You can shoot in cramped rooms and something from afar. Of course, the lens's aperture becomes insufficient over time, and I bought another lens. With two lenses, the functionality of the camera has expanded. As for the built-in flash, it turned out to be unnecessary for me. Because the photos obtained when using the built-in flash (on any cameras) do not look correct to me. Therefore, over time, I also bought an external flash - YONGNUO YN600EX-RT (but about this in another review).

Now about the camera carcass itself: the buttons are located very conveniently for use. I am pleased with the presence of a second small screen, which significantly saves battery when the main screen is turned off. All frequently configured options are displayed by separate buttons, so you don't have to dig into the menu for a long time, you get quick access to them.

I am pleased with the number of focus points - there are 45 of them. But still, the camera does not always guess your desires, by default I set the focus on the central point, and then I direct the camera myself.

Exposure correction is adjusted from -5 to +5 in 1/3 step increments. There are 4 types of measurement of the exposure, but in fact 2 are important - centrally weighted and point. You can write about the merits for a long time.

I almost forgot to write about the wifi function! This is a very convenient thing for me. You can quickly view photos on your tablet, as well as control the camera from your phone!
