A decent camera for home use. Analysis of modes.

The old camera stopped shooting in automatic mode (there is not always time and desire to mess with manual settings), does not connect to the tablet. I was looking for a camera that easily and quickly connects to a tablet and phone, with a good lens and a more or less decent lens. Since I was limited in finances, I chose a camera within 15,000 money. I thought for a long time that it was better to buy and eventually acquired the object of the review. I need a camera for my creativity, so I did not consider serious cameras for purchase.

Equipment. I ordered a camera from an online store. I was very surprised when I received the order. I thought the box would be bigger. The configuration is completely satisfied, it's a pity, of course, that there is no memory card included. My old camera is compatible with a microSD memory card, and the object of the recall supports regular SD cards. I had to look for an adapter so as not to buy a card separately. Instructions in different languages. I really liked that a separate charger was made for the battery. My old camera was directly connected to an outlet or a portable charger via a USB cable. A removable battery is an undoubted advantage. If something happens to the battery, you will not have to buy a new camera. Most of all I like the lens cap, a small detail from a "serious camera".

Comparison with another camera. The object of the review is considered a compact camera, but there are models that are much smaller in size. The object of the review is inconvenient to carry in a miniature handbag (clutch, etc.), so I will choose a more miniature model for traveling. I compare it with my old smart camera, it has managed to visit a lot of places, fits in my pocket. The main "body part" of any camera is the lens, including the lens. The Canon lens looks impressive. If you compare it with my old camera, then my smart camera loses in terms of the size of the lens and lens. The photo shows that the smart camera lens is smaller than that of Canon. I don't need a powerful "ZOOM", the smart camera has always suited me. In addition, I do not consider a 45-fold "ZOOM" to be a virtue (I indicate the reason below). The screens are almost the same, the only difference is that the smart camera has a touch screen, and Canon has a regular one. The control buttons are also almost the same, I didn't have to get used to the new camera. I just took it out of the box and started filming. Settings management is different, I still can't get used to it. On an old camera, the "shooting mode" is switched by a special "wheel", for Canon only through the menu.

Camera body. The camera looks solid, not like pocket soap dishes. The flash is powerful, opens and closes easily. Cases for such cameras are not produced, a separate bag is needed for it. At the bottom of the camera there is a "socket" for a tripod. There was a problem with mounting the camera on a tripod. I couldn't take it off the tripod, it just wouldn't unscrew. I had to disassemble the tripod platform and unscrew the mounting screw from the camera with pliers. Still, the price of a tripod and a camera is different, I had to sacrifice what is cheaper. The battery and memory card compartment is easy to open and close.

Camera control. Even a child can handle the camera. Since this is not my first camera, I did not need instructions. The photo mode is selected via the menu. Information about the photo mode is displayed on the screen.

Everything said is empty words, it is important what photos the camera takes. Let's compare the photos from the Canon camera with the photos taken by my phone and the old smart camera (in the "manual settings" mode).

Comparison of photos. Everything is known by comparison. In this part of the review, I publish photos taken with three cameras. Including the Nokia 6 smartphone, that's how it looks. I have problems with subject photography, I'm not a professional, I'm just mastering it. In this regard, the photos in the examples are very simple and probably wrong from the point of view of professionals. All photos were taken under the same conditions, I did not use photo filters and photo editors. I'll start with the simplest, with an apple. Canon photography in automatic mode. The color rendering varies. Here is the third photo for an example. Made by a smartphone with automatic settings change. The photo was not edited in the photo editor. Although it was said in the Nokia 6 advertisement that it has a very good camera, but Canon pictures are a little better. Let's compare photos from three devices. They were not edited and made in the same conditions, artificial lighting, three energy-saving lamps in the chandelier, the light color is yellow. The grenade that Canon photographed. The photos are all different. Why the garnet in the last photo turned out to be lighter is not clear, but the smartphone took it that way. Artificial intelligence has corrected lighting deficiencies. And now about the "ZOOM". 45x ZOOM is not a virtue at all. At high magnification, the camera does not focus well, the photos turn out blurry (there is no protection from shaking hands). Here are examples of enlarged frames. The picture was taken through the window glass with a Canon camera. It can be seen that the photo is fuzzy.

Copying photos from the camera. I copy photos to my smartphone and tablet. I downloaded a special mobile application and connect the camera to the gadget via Wi-fi. When connecting for the first time, you must enter a password. As soon as the camera is connected to the gadgets, you can copy photos or use the phone as a camera remote control.

Conclusions: the camera is good, you just shouldn't expect the quality of SLR camera images from it. Despite its appearance, this camera can also be classified as a "soap dish". Everything suits me, there are few settings, but I can easily solve this problem. If I want to play around with the aperture and shutter speed, then I use my old smart camera (then I copy the pictures from the memory card via Canon). If you need a simple camera with different settings, you can buy this camera.

Somehow I realized that I was left completely without a camera: the old ones have already outlived themselves and work every other time, and the camera on the phone is no good at all. I began to choose a suitable model for myself. I need a camera purely for family photos on a walk, in nature, matinees in kindergarten, home holidays. And, of course, for pictures to reviews on Irecommend, how can it be without this.

I searched, read, and settled on this model. Why? Firstly, because of the trust in the company: previously there was a Canon camera, the pictures turned out great. Secondly, for a good price-performance ratio. To be honest, I squeezed the money on the DSLR! I think that a simpler model is enough for my needs.

Appearance, dimensions, buttons. Medium-sized camera: compared to the mirror, it is quite compact, but at the same time, of course, it is more than the simplest "soap dishes". Naturally, here the depth is indicated in the off view, i.e. with the lens pushed back and even without a lid with a lid, the depth is already 90 mm. When the camera is turned on, the lens is slightly extended. When the zoom is increased, the lens extends more and more. The camera is made of matte plastic with a rubberized insert in the area of the usual location of the fingers. It has an ergonomic shape, fits comfortably in your hand. Any adult can easily hold the camera and take pictures with one hand. There are 2 buttons on top of the case: an on/off button, as well as a shutter release button and a zoom lever right there.

All other buttons are located near the display. The top button with a red dot is to turn on the video shooting mode. Below it is a button for switching the photo mode. The button with the blue triangle is the photo viewing mode. The "right" and "left" buttons are used to view photos, as well as to select the shooting mode and flash, more about the modes below. The display is large and bright.

Packaging and configuration. The camera was packed in a cardboard box. Inside the following equipment: camera, charger, battery, documentation, lens cap, wrist strap. One of the criteria for choosing a camera for me was the battery. I think it is much more practical and durable. Her capacity, of course, is not very large, but I always had enough. The specifications state that one battery charge is enough for 195 pictures. I haven't tested it in my experience. Charger with two indicator lights. An orange light bulb is lit when charging. When charging is completed, the green indicator lights up.

Settings and modes. To select the mode, I use the "AUTO" button. By pressing it, you can select 2 modes:

1. AUTO - auto detection of the scene and optimal settings. That is, the camera in this mode automatically adjusts to the object being shot. For example, I point the camera at some remote object, in this case - a road and a neighboring house (view from the window). The AUTO icon is lit on the display, the camera is focusing. Then, I do not switch anything, but only transfer the lens to a close object, in this case a room flower. The camera automatically switches to MACRO mode. In principle, this is a very convenient mode that will suit everyone, especially beginners.

2. LIVE (direct control) - easy adjustment of images to create effects. There are three sub-modes in this mode, which already need to be switched independently. They are switched with the "Left" button. By default, the "Normal" sub-mode is always used. In some cases, you may not even understand the difference between these modes. For comparison, in the summer I specially shot the same landscape with these three modes. In fact, I don't see much difference in the photo. But, for example, you will not be able to make macrophotography in the "Normal" mode. You can configure the flash separately. To do this, lift the flash cap and press the "Right" button. In AUTO mode, there are only two flash positions - auto on or the flash is always off. In LIVE mode, there are more advanced features, there are 4 flash modes: automatic, enabled, slow synchronization (increasing shutter speed to lighten the background) and disabled.

As for some more serious settings, they are made using the "Menu" button. To be honest, I don't really understand the settings. For me, the dark forest, what is AF illumination, IS parameters, grid lines. I use only the simplest things from the settings, such as the volume of the sound of the camera and the date stamp on the pictures. I can only say that the settings are slightly different in AUTO and LIVE modes.

Photo quality.

The quality of the photos suits me. Landscapes, macro photographs, portraits on the street in clear weather - they turn out just wonderful! The only thing is, I'm not very happy with the indoor shots: they get fuzzy and dim. But in principle, this is solved by flash. For clarity, I prepared an experiment, took a series of photos. They will have the same toy bear, but photographed in different places and different modes.

ZOOM.

As for the ZOOM, as it turned out, it is not necessary to have such a powerful one. At least for me. The fact is that with a strong approximation it is very difficult to keep the object in focus, especially since, for example, my hands are shaking. Probably, a tripod is needed here. But for an example, I will still give one photo. Once we were driving past the Reserve, we noticed an elk from the highway among the bushes, stopped and got this picture. The distance from us to him was 200 meters.

Conclusion: Canon PowerShot SX430 IS a decent camera for home use. There is an automatic mode, so it is suitable for beginners. With its characteristics, it has an affordable price of 12999 money. I am happy with the purchase!

A great camera for beginners. My passion for photography began a long time ago. At first I was shooting on my phone, the camera was not very good and the pictures were not of the highest quality. That's when I realized that I wanted to buy a camera. My choice fell on the Canon PowerShot SX430 IS compact camera. The kit includes a charger for the camera, as well as instructions for the camera itself. I found a more complete version of it on the Internet on the Canon website. The camera itself is compact, it is convenient to carry. He is no longer a soap dish, but also not yet a mirror. Semi-professional. The very thing for those who are just starting to master photography. The management is simple. It has been working properly for the second year.

For me, its most important advantage is Zoom. Optical Zoom - 45x, Digital Zoom - 4x. This allows you to shoot objects that are far away from us. Sometimes in our hikes we even used it as a Laughing out loud binocole.

The only downside is that when it gets too close, it starts to "jump", and then it's difficult to focus properly and take a picture of what you need. You may need a tripod here.

Shooting modes

1. Auto mode - the camera adjusts itself to the conditions of your shooting and the subject by selecting the desired settings. Most often I shot it in auto mode.

2. P mode. In this mode, you can create various camera settings. You can also set your ISO settings, shutter speeds. Also here you can influence the exposure, the exposamer.

Changing the white balance, color tones of the image, autofocus mode.

3. Live mode. There are such modes as macro - for shooting very close subjects, normal and landscape. Normal - for shooting near and distant objects, landscape - for shooting very distant objects. Also in this shooting mode there are such effects as: fisheye, toy camera effect, miniature effect, monochrome mode, candlelight mode. I don't use these effects very often.
