Canon PowerShot SX210 IS - reviews

I bought a Canon PowerShot SX210 IS about a week ago. Either I don't know how to take pictures, or there's something wrong with the camera.

Virtually all of my photos taken with the Canon PowerShot SX210 IS show heavy noise at 100% magnification. There is none, only if the image is blurry. It only photographs more or less normally in "Kids/Pets" mode, which is a mode designed to take pictures of fast-moving objects. So, only in this mode I get sharp and low-noise images, and even then if I take photos of stationary objects. Maybe it's because of hand shake? What's the stabilizer for then?! I am thinking about buying a tripod, and what if the same thing happens with a tripod? Before the camera Canon PowerShot SX210 IS, I had a 7-megapixel digital camera, which is now worth a penny, but I compared photos from the new and old cameras, and I see no big difference. What's more, the old camera shot much better in macro mode. With my Canon PowerShot SX210 IS I can't focus on the desired subject, it keeps focusing on the background and blurs the object I want to shoot. And I found only a few great advantages of Canon: powerful flash, interesting shooting modes (leave one color, change color, zoom (14x optical and digital), great video. I hope that I will get to grips with this camera and be able to take better photos than I did with my old camera, otherwise I will be very disappointed.

I have wanted a good camera for a reasonable price for a long time. I've been thinking a lot about whether to get a point-and-shoot or something more serious. Since I do not carry a woman's bag of gigantic size, the device should be appropriate. I have looked through a lot of offers in home appliance stores, and it became clear that the DSLR has no equal, at least among soapboxes. But all of them are impressive with big serious lenses. After twisting a few different models in my hands, I realized that in spite of all the qualities for everyday shooting I would not be comfortable at all. So I decided to choose a good point-and-shoot. The problem was that there are a lot of them, all almost the same. I did not want to overpay. But I also did not want to buy something bad, throwing my money away. But I needed a camera! And you have to take it! I knew how salespeople sometimes tell all kinds of lies, and I did not want to flatter my ears. But still I asked to show me three different models in different price brackets. I liked the more expensive one. The choice was made and I bought it. But the feeling that maybe I should have taken something else, didn't leave me till my first trip to the nature where I photographed everything from little flowers to tall crowns of trees. The camera has passed every test I could think of. Took pictures during the day, took pictures in the evening. I am thrilled with the Canon PowerShot SX210 IS! It is exactly what I needed. The quality is very good, 14x zoom is great. No need to adjust anything, the pictures are great in auto mode. Videos are great, with no problems at all. The only thing at first it was not convenient to get used to the flash, which opens on the place where you would normally hold your left index finger on the camera. But this is a matter of habit and over time I was no longer bothered by this. I bought a hard case for 600 rubles, so the body is protected, and I was not going to crack nuts with it. The bottom line is that this camera is not for professionals. But if you just put your camera in your bag and want to take a picture somewhere today then this is the right piece of kit for you. You get great pictures, and you do not need to finish courses in photography and the wise guys understand the settings, in Auto mode, everything turns out great. Stylish design and Japanese quality will make you happy, because this camera is made in Japan.

Canon PowerShot SX210 IS is the perfect family camera and even a little better. Honestly, this is my first digital camera. I've looked at it for a long time and checked it out. And so, I decided to settle on this particular model - Canon PowerShot SX210 IS. And I don't regret it one bit. It is an excellent camera. I figured out the settings pretty quickly, and now I'm slowly getting the hang of the manual settings. I am very pleased with the zoom, even at maximum zoom the photos are sharp, not blurry. And the fact that they made a separate button for video is also very nice. And, thank God, it is battery-powered, not battery-powered - a big plus for me. I compared it, for the sake of interest, with the semi-professional Sony of my friend and I did not see much difference, even though it costs almost twice as cheap. If you do not claim to be a professional, the Canon PowerShot SX210 IS is ideal.

Canon PowerShot SX210 IS - reviews. Canon PowerShot SX210 IS do not buy this camera. You should not buy this, no way. Despite the fact that it is passed off as semi-professional, it is nothing. Maybe for young people, for those who haven't had a digital camera and have nothing to compare it to, the quality will seem good. But it is not. The camera pictures seem to be clear, but when I loaded them into the computer, I was very surprised. All those 14 pixels were visible. All the photos are squared, I don't remember what it's called, the photos are not clear, blurry, when you zoom in. And next to those poor quality pictures are my perfect pictures from my old Samsung camera and my cell phone. Just think about it: Samsung is five years old, but the quality is several times better. ZOOM is useless, the quality loses a lot, but I wanted better zoom. At first I thought I had to adjust it. It didn't work, not for me, not for my husband, and not for every salesperson at the store where I bought my Canon PowerShot SX210 IS. We tried all functions and all settings, in all lights. The sales assistants were shocked when I showed them my old flash memory card photos for comparison. No one believed that Canon had such quality considering the price - it was the most expensive of the soapboxes. For a while I thought it was a batch defect. But then a friend of mine came over to visit and she had this camera. I quickly plugged the cord into my computer and checked it out. The camera was purchased when it was released and the quality was horrible, it was not the fault of the batch, it was just unacceptable for such a company. By the way, I bought another camera, also Canon. I will write about it later, but the review is supposed to be positive. It costs less. It costs less. Don't buy it, don't look at the price. Look closer to the quality of images, it is desirable to compare it to something. I, by the way pics of him saved, now I show everyone, no one believes the words, but they do not show me, and I do not know whether they can lay them out. And yet, very sorry about Samsung. Now I see that there was very good quality. I also remembered: the battery cuts very quickly. It also recharges in just two hours, but if you go to nature, for example, you need to take a spare battery.

Canon PowerShot SX210 IS, Black made good!
It's been half a year now that I own this camera, and now I want to share my impressions.

I've been thinking for a long time about what to get:
SLR, Panasonic 8, Sony 10 or Canon210i.
I prefer the quality of photos because sometimes i post photos in newspapers or on the net.
DSLR fell away because it's bulky and no video, and I stand out compactness, Sony fell away because of production in China, about Panasonic - yes, it was a difficult choice, because Panasonic Mod8 - made in Japan - was certainly good!
But I chose Canon 210i, and did not regret it!

I did not notice anything bad:
1. colors are natural, brightness parameters are not distorted and automatically "pulled out", you can shoot without flash, pulls the picture. and geometric distortion is very small.
2. the controls are convenient, the program wheel and the wide screen are clear. elegant.
3. everything runs fast and without mishaps.
4. Made in Japan and my brand is really good because Kanon is a serious photography company!
5. It has 14 megapixels and 14 zoom, which is good. (and my wife uses it as a binoculars))
6. for the author's photos have a manual mode where you can adjust the shutter speed and aperture, as well as customizing the lighting. and in general, there are basic modes that are typical for SLRs, picture quality like an average DSLR (but all this at a compact size!)
7. The fact that there is a recording format AjDimai, 1080\720 dots, and I have a big TV and even greater ambitions))! and by the way, this quality is rarely found in DSLRs.
8. the manual book and menu in the apparatus in Russian, there is also an amazing photo and video processing program for PC (on CD included) and I found this layout very useful and convenient.
Well, dear, I haven't felt any problems, the problems of flash from the previous Canon-200 have been already eliminated in this model, the camera cost about 20% cheaper in Ozone than in our wonderful city, and in practice everything happened: quick, beautiful, without a "hitch or hitch", the battery lasted for many days, well, about 200 shots can be shot, or more, the charging compact, though the unit does not work without a memory card and had to put it on immediately . ..., I photographed a lot of things in different modes, and I can not cease to be amazed by thoughtfulness of all and everything until now!!! In general, all in good working order and beautiful thanks to Kanon. I bought in addition a simple Japanese belt pouch, the map class #10, but there was a problem with the HDMI cable for the TV - no sound, it turned out the cable does not support sound, I returned the cable, such a mishap, but dear, the picture on the TV was just amazing! And so far I'm satisfied with this very same video on the computer screen, alas.

I have to note the disadvantages of this unit as well:
1. Microphones are directed upwards, and therefore the sound recording on the video is good in the premises, becoming in nature - almost useless, and on the flash on this place by habit "lie" my left index finger! It would be better to put microphones in the front!
2. I think the right and left could have been inserted a rubber insert, to keep the device more stable in your hands.
3. there are no accessories offered in ozone, and the camera itself is not sold all the time, for example, I am interested in a box for underwater photography, and I can not find ... it's serious about accessories, a shoal.
But these disadvantages are suppressed by the many and many advantages of the camera and good video.

Canon PowerShot SX210 IS didn't take long to choose a new point-and-shoot camera, of course nothing compares with a DSLR - but they are too bulky, and the price is not small. At that time, my finances did not allow me to buy a good, decent camera. The camera is suitable for both active recreation and for the family. It has a lot of shooting modes and it adjusts photos "for the situation". The flash function is convenient, when you don't need it, you just close it, as soon as you need it - a simple movement you can put it back. I would like to have simple mode and video standing next to each other. It would be much more convenient for outdoor activities. What makes me happy is the sound of the video playback on the camera. And also, it lies well in a lady's hand and is quite nice.

Canon PowerShot SX210 IS is a decent camera, but it has its peculiarities. I chose my camera very long and carefully. I've read all reviews on the Internet, listened to the advice of managers in various stores, and understood only one thing about this model - the inconvenient flash (minus) and the proximity to professional devices (plus). In fact, its price category does not allow to call this camera a point-and-shooter, but it is far from a professional one. I've used Canon A550 as well before, so I'd rather choose between Nikon and Canon. Who used this brand will understand, because the interface is very convenient and understandable. At the time of purchase it was one of the last Canon models in the stores. Then there were modifications with Bluetooth, GPS and other stuff. These are definitely not necessary add-ons for a camera, since they drain the battery. I agree with the previously written reviews, which are quite emotional: great photos, bright, clear, easy to handle and with this great flash you feel like a professional. However, it is not so easy to use a professional device, and a semi-professional one even less so. It does not always turn out the way you want your pictures to be in auto mode. The camera takes a long time to focus, but if you do not give it time, the photo will be blurry or not as clear. Most of the time it will tell you right away that your hands are shaking when you take a picture. Many people write on the Internet that with this apparatus, you begin to think about buying a professional. It is true that when you do not know how to handle it, it feels like something is missing. I have not learned the science of professional photography and took pictures only in the proposed modes. I never learned how to take photos of objects in motion, without the flash they are blurry, and with the flash the lighting is not always right. May it be that my hands don't grow from there. But with this camera I really have to learn how to take pictures properly. I still like the old model because with flash it photographed any object perfectly. So think about what you expect from the camera. Beautiful pictures should be able to create. I hope I did not scare you too much with my review, after all, most photos turn out great) flash is only inconvenient for those who you let take pictures of themselves, and you quickly get used to it. In this model, Canon's unusual zoom lever, also had to get used to. Overall, the machine is great, now the price is not so high. Therefore, the price/performance ratio is perfect.

I got this camera 4 years ago, it is not new, and it has been in the possession of the previous owner for about 2 years. Total: 6 years of use)) is very good for such a fragile equipment. I saw on the internet that this model has been discontinued, but I think it's for nothing. A good, high-quality camera, inexpensive to the same.

Yes, it is inferior to newer models in many ways: it's a little bit heavy and not that tiny, it has no touch screen and other "chips" of recent models. But to be honest, I'm not going to part with his charm, unless I still decide to buy a professional DSLR, but so my "old guy" I'm quite happy. Photos are bright, sharp, there are different modes of shooting both photos and video.

It has a handy button to zoom in/out the lens. Face detection function. The flash opens automatically when the camera is turned on, but it can easily be clicked with a swipe of your finger. If the camera is on but not used for a couple of minutes, the lens folds up and doesn't protrude, which is handy when taking pictures on the run. There is no chance of catching the camera on anything and damaging it. Easy menu and a fairly large screen for viewing photos. There is an option to set the date on photos.

Canon PowerShot SX210 IS runs on battery, somewhat similar to cell phone batteries. Flash card micro, through the adapter. I really like the matte silver and black body of the Canon PowerShot SX210 IS. Classic, in a word, the body all the time the use is not scratched, the screen, too, although I use quite often. not bad, although for good photos you need not only a good technique, but hands from the shoulders for amateur photography is great, even an amateur like me, can make crisp, colorful photos without problems.

Canon PowerShot SX210 IS is the best. The camera is really very decent in terms of price-performance ratio. The nicest thing about it is that despite its small size it has a 14x optical zoom, which means that you can shoot even distant objects from one point and the quality of the pictures in this case does not suffer. It also has a handy flash that can be hidden in the body with the touch of a finger, very convenient when you take pictures of babies, because they can not be photographed with a flash up to a year old. Another big plus for me - a pretty big battery life - lasts a long time. In general, this camera is indispensable for me in any trip, he is with me.

***

Canon PowerShot SX210 IS - completely satisfied. I think the price-quality ratio is great. was bought for the purpose of everyday home amateur photography without claiming a professional result. The end result: just great photo quality, a lot of modes, user-friendly interface, and the ability to configure everything automatically or manually. I have faced such a problem, how to choose a case. Can you believe it, I spent two days looking for it, but I found it, even though the choice was very poor. And one more thing - with the flash clearly takes pictures, but if you turn it off manually, you need to keep your hand in the balance, not to pull, and then the pictures are obtained blurred.

Canon PowerShot SX210 IS - review - great camera.

Advantages of the Canon PowerShot SX210 IS:

1) Zoom. Moreover, the quality does not deteriorate when zooming in
2) Good video. Built-in stabilizer works properly, the picture is not shaky
3) I liked the special effects
4) The flash is great.
5) Nice design
6) There are full manual settings. Even a manual focus.
7) The photos are quite decent.

Disadvantages:

1) Night shooting.
2) It is not convenient to take photos with one hand.
3) The controls are far from intuitive. They could have been better thought out.
5) The flash pops up automatically when you turn it on. I have to put my finger on the top of the body to prevent it from going off.

In general, a good camera. And I hope that it will serve me for a long time.

The Canon PowerShot SX210 IS is a good toy. Good technical specifications. Bad body. Great video and photo. But, after a month the body began to scratch. Went to the south, at the waterfall burned out the wiring due to condensation. Although there were a lot of people shooting and no one had any problems. I am very disappointed in Canon. Couldn't they have made a sturdy enclosure.

Canon PowerShot SX210 IS - great quality for a point-and-shoot camera. This year we decided to change the camera, the old one did not satisfy us, because it was bought 5 years ago. I wanted both price and quality. We bought this camera on the recommendation of an experienced photographer. And the quality of photos and shooting is very happy not only us but also friends and acquaintances. And those who say they are not happy with it just do not know how to use it. The photos are very colorful and sharp, everything is easy and simple and the menu has a lot of user friendly features. We are very happy with our choice.

The Canon PowerShot SX210 IS is a great camera! I gave it four stars, understandably, because there are much better ones. But it's worth the money for which you can buy it in our stores. Unfortunately, half a year ago it broke, through my fault - I didn't keep track of it and my daughter dipped it in a mug with some compote. My husband gave me a new one. The difference in my opinion was immediately noticeable. First, the Canon PowerShot SX210 IS was more convenient buttons, the flash does not brighten the face, the video is as if sharper, although my husband says that this is because I just got used to that for three years, I mean that for amateur photography best thing.
