We decided to buy a camera for the whole family for all occasions. We chose a long and tedious choice, and in the end the choice fell on Canon PowerShot S95.
It is very compact and easy to handle. For me, as not a professional in the "shooting" business, it was easy enough to master. I get the impression that there is nothing unnecessary about it, from the body to the shooting modes, there is no mode that would not be used, for all there is time and place. It has excellent quality of video recording as well. The quality of sound and video is excellent. Although, there is one subtlety. The thing is that the display of the camera makes the colors of the photos seem a little bit richer and brighter than when you transfer them to your computer. But it's not much and if you're picky.
The Canon PowerShot S95 is a great camera. I bought this camera six months ago. I was looking for a small, compact camera with great image quality. Since we already have two DSLRs in the family, we had very strict requirements to the compact. We wanted a small, handy camera, which can always be carried around, and pictures, if not the same quality as with DSLR cameras, then very close. And also needed the possibility of shooting raw, for later processing. We chose among different manufacturers and settled on the Canon PowerShot S95 for several reasons. The first is the size, the second is the ease of use, the camera has two little wheels, which greatly simplifies management, well, of course, most importantly - the quality of photos. What can I say after a few months of use, the camera has not disappointed, the impressions are only positive. And most importantly, now we can shoot at any time and in any situation and not always have to take a heavy SLR.
I bought this camera five years ago. I've been very happy with it all these years: it's easy to use, easy to understand all the shooting modes! The pictures come out great: crisp, colorful, bright! It magnifies the subject perfectly, the picture comes out very clear, even at a great distance. In all photos, not only the subject is captured clearly, but also the background. Keeps its charge for a long time, which is very convenient. Has a few capture modes, such as night photography, portrait, beach, and others, when you select them automatically exposes all the settings, which is very convenient. But most importantly it is of very good quality, made to the conscience. The last time I dropped it when I was in Prague, it fell right on the cobblestones! I thought it was the end, but luckily it was wrong. It still works, even the image quality is the same! Only the cover of the shutter release button is a little bloated and that's all. Did not expect such quality, nowadays, when all appliances are so fragile! I recommend this camera to everyone.
