The Canon PowerShot SX120 IS is a nice camera for family use. Let me tell you about my old Canon Power Shot SX 120 IS.
It was a gift from my parents, a good gift. It was completely new on the market. How much it cost at the time of purchase. A mystery covered in darkness to this day. We went through a lot with it: trips to the countryside, foreign trips, home holidays, and corporate parties. The quality of photos for a home camera is top-notch. It is equipped with a smart system of face recognition, portrait photos are obtained very well even nothing. Easy to shoot on it, preset modes work well. The quality of the video shot is not bad. Only the sound fails, but this is a camera, so it is worth turning a blind eye. It has a good zoom and image stabilization. The camera itself is well built, the body material: black high quality plastic. LCD display is scratch-resistant, large enough (60mm * 45mm). On it is very nice to view the photos taken. Controls are easy, the menu is simple and clear. Everything is done in the typical Canon style. However, this is how it should be. It is quite weighty, almost 300 g, but you don't get tired of it. Powered by two AA. I thoroughly recommend to buy quality batteries, otherwise it is simply impossible. Well supports memory cards format 4Gb + Own built-in memory is not.

From the minuses I can note the capriciousness to the dim light, the need to open the flash manually. And as speed of shooting in continuous shooting mode. But this mode is not fundamentally important, given the purpose of the device. In general, it is a good workhorse for domestic use.
