Samsung ST93 manual and reviews

Recently purchased this model due to the breakdown of my previous camera. I want to compare it with the old device.
Previously I had a Samsung S630 camera.Let's start with the sensor: the new model has 16.1 megapixels, while the old one had only 6 megapixels. However, the difference in quality is not felt. The video quality is better than on the old model (an improvement for the better). Now let's look at the quality of the photos. I thought that with the development of technology, photos would turn out better, but it turned out that on the new camera they are often blurred. If on the old device the percentage of blurred photos was about 10%, on the new one it reaches 30-40%.Otherwise, the speed of flash charging and focusing are the same. The appearance is neat, without unnecessary details, lightweight and compact. In this respect, everything suits me.The camera got me at an attractive price of 4250 rubles. I chose a budget option for filming a child, more and do not need. Besides, if the child breaks the camera, it will not be so pitiful. This model suits me, it is better than Nikon.
Advantages: I don't know where to start. This camera is great, easy to use, compact and with a "long-lasting" battery!
Functions: you can shoot photos in smart mode (it's called that for a reason, it's very convenient if you don't have time to understand the settings and set something yourself) and in program mode (here you can experiment at will). Everything is clear, simple, and most importantly, everything you change is immediately displayed on the screen, so you already know how it will look like.
Panorama: no need to take a series of four shots and wait for it to merge them, just press a button, rotate the camera horizontally, and voila, there's your panorama! Very convenient! Shooting modes or scenes: everything is clear and immediately displayed on the screen (the so-called preset). I am completely satisfied with it.
HD video shooting: the quality is excellent, the sound is good, the zoom works well (so what if you can hear it). Dual stabilization! I tried shooting with double stabilization when I shook the camera - crisp! My old Olympus m760 also has double stabilization and the quality is great.
Disadvantages: if you are very picky, the zoom is audible on video, and the flash takes a long time to charge (2-3 seconds).
Comment: I chose this model instead of Olympus D715 (VG-140). Excellent model, I am completely satisfied, color reproduction is excellent, clear, and the price is just great. I bought it on January 2, 2012, and still can't get enough of it!
A wonderful camera: photos are of excellent quality, video is also pleasing with high resolution and good sound. The zoom on video can be heard just a little, as with other cameras with optical zoom (the sound of the motor when extending the lenses). Worth noting is the excellent battery. Made about 300 photos, half of them with a flash, and the battery charge decreased by only a third. Bright and effective flash. In the dark, bright and high-quality pictures are obtained. The lenses are of good quality, as evidenced by the green glow in the lens. Wide shutter speed and sensitivity range, which is important when shooting without flash in dark times or bad weather. Good quality 2.7-inch display. You can shoot both in auto mode and customize the settings yourself. Compact and convenient, without unnecessary elements. Charges without the need to remove the battery.
I've been using the camera for work for 2 and a half years now, and it does 80% of its job, despite the small battery capacity and the fact that it's a simple "soapbox". As for photos for a home album, the automatic mode is not suitable here, you need to carefully adjust the shooting parameters for specific conditions. In automatic mode, the colors are quite dull, but this can be corrected by adjusting the parameters. Although I've been using it for a long time, I'm a bit annoyed by the slow scrolling through the menu, I didn't have that on my old Casio. I bought it with a 4GB memory card, and I think it's already fully paid for itself.
