My faithful companion for over five years now is my FUJIFILM s4000 camera. Great value for money, and amazing photos too! Honestly, I don't remember how many years I've had it, but it was over five years ago when I just started university. Then my mom gave me this camera for my 20th birthday. You should have seen my cheers of joy! Since then, I have never parted with this camera. It has captured many moments that cannot be described in words.

Now more about the camera itself. It is light and comfortable, weighs about 400-600 grams. Now in the photo you see it a little shabby, it is already more than five years old. However, it is worth noting that not every camera can boast such durability. It comes with a cap to protect the lens. This camera has a 30x zoom, but the quality degrades at maximum magnification. Although I'm not sure why you need such “binoculars”. The 14 MP allows you to freely print A4 size photos and I personally had no problems with pixelization, the image turned out great. A huge plus is the bright and saturated screen...It's also just huge:)))) Easy controls, ISO selection buttons and more are all there and can be customized. Smile. The built-in flash illuminates well in the dark, but can be “red-eye” at times. The background sometimes blurs, but the focus works great! Significant downside...well personally it's a downside for me...Quick battery drain. Four batteries are required to operate the camera. They are enough for a maximum of 100 photos, after which the quality deteriorates. Macro shooting is excellent, it helps to capture small details. You are probably wondering what kind of pictures can be taken with this camera? Without flash, an autumn sunrise...I think it turned out great, considering that it was taken with an ordinary camera. In conclusion, if you are going to buy this camera from hand, I definitely recommend it. For those who are on a tight budget but want good quality, it's definitely a worthwhile purchase! I'm 99% happy with it (except for the constantly draining batteries). Manual.

I bought this digital camera in 2013, at which time its price in DNS was 9500 rubles. At that time, it was an excellent choice among compact cameras. In general, the camera takes decent photos. The macro mode is excellent, the focus is adjusted well, the background is blurred even without using macro, but I would like more saturated colors. By learning the basics of photography and experimenting with shutter speed and aperture, you can create stunning images. It's worth noting the 30x optical zoom, thanks to which I was able to take a stunning photo of the moon. There is also a digital zoom, in good light you can enlarge the image up to about 190x, but you can't distinguish the stars in this way.

I would like to tell you about a budget model of FUJIFILM camera. The body is made of materials that give the impression of cheap plastic, and, in fact, they are. On the top panel are the following elements: on/off button, zoom lever with shutter release button, pull mode button and a button with the function of recognizing faces in the frame. The shooting mode switch is located next to the “f” button, which opens a menu for quickly changing important camera settings. The flash is activated by pressing the button, but the distance between the lamp and the optical axis of the lens is relatively small. The rear panel has a display on the left and a five-position joystick on the right. There are also three additional buttons: playback/return, function call and exposure correction. There is an electronic viewfinder. The memory card and four AA batteries are located under a common cover on the bottom edge of the body. Next to it is a plastic tripod socket. Thanks to the battery compartment, the body has a comfortable shape that allows you to hold the camera securely with one hand. However, I feel that the camera could be faster and I would like it to trigger immediately when the button is pressed. Manual.

Advantages: quality optics; many modes; 30x zoom; easy operation; simple menu; relatively light weight; good display; good quality video.

On photos: quality is good for a compact camera, but 14 megapixels are not here... Color rendition is similar to Nikon, I like it.

Disadvantages: useless at night (noise already at ISO 800);cheap plastic; memory card is located where the batteries are, so to remove the card you need to open the battery compartment, which is inconvenient; incorrect focusing (especially at 30x zoom); useless peephole (small display with low resolution). The new flagship Fujifilm FinePix S4000 digital camera from the popular Fujifilm S range of compact superzooms was unveiled at CES in early 2011. It features a stunning 24mm Fujinon wide-angle lens with a 30x optical zoom lens, providing incredible flexibility and versatility. With the FinePix S4000, you can capture beautiful landscapes and instantly zoom in on details of interest up to 30x, which is impossible for owners of bulkier and heavier DSLR cameras. Thanks to the high resolution of 14 megapixels, pictures can be printed in poster format or cut out parts of the frame to create interesting compositions. For framing, users can use the bright 3-inch 460K-dot LCD or the electronic viewfinder. Eye Sensor automatically switches the picture display from the LCD to the viewfinder when the camera is close to your eye. This reduces the camera's power consumption and reduces the likelihood of blurred images. The Dual Image Stabilization technology in Fujifilm's new S-series cameras, including the FinePix S4000, ensures clear and blur-free images even in challenging conditions such as shooting in low light or distant subjects in telephoto mode. In addition to stunning photos, the Fujifilm FinePix S4000 can shoot high-definition video and has a mini HDMI connector for connection to modern TVs. Another interesting feature of the Fujifilm S4000 is the ability to search photos by the name of the person in them. Fujifilm's facial recognition technology allows the camera to remember up to 8 of your loved ones by naming them and marking them on the photos. Manual.

The Fujifilm FinePix S4000 is a compact camera with an electronic viewfinder and 30x optical zoom. It is equipped with a sensor with 14 effective megapixels and is capable of recording video at a maximum resolution of 1280x720 and 30 frames per second. The image stabilization for still photography is dual image stabilization and the screen size is 3 inches. I am not a professional, but I like this camera. For those who prefer the automatic mode, it may not be suitable, as the results are different and require manual adjustment. The recording duration depends on the resolution: a maximum of 6 minutes at maximum resolution and a little over 60 minutes at minimum resolution. AA-type batteries are convenient, as you can always use batteries (buy them locally or have them in stock) when the batteries run out. They last for a long time. Settings made in each shooting mode are saved when selecting this mode again, which is also convenient. Among the disadvantages: when recording video at maximum resolution, sometimes there are picture breaks, but this may be due to the flash drive; loose lens cap, because of which rattles and dust can get inside; low resolution viewfinder; automatic mode does not always shoot well; focusing in video mode does not work as fast as I would like; poor shooting in the dark, noise (as indicated in the manual).

Hello, I own an S4300, but I think the difference between it and the S4000 is not that big. I've been using this camera for a week now and am gradually learning the different modes and settings. I didn't need the flash during the whole shooting, but now I decided to check its performance. I have tried all modes and settings, including forced on, but it doesn't work (the flash doesn't work). When forced mode shutter also does not respond: neither when pressed half or full - complete silence, no flash, no focus, no shooting. Can you please tell me how to check the flash and what I need to adjust? Is it possible that it is a defect and needs to be repaired?

I see that it is not praised here, and I can't agree with that opinion. After all, it's not just a “soapbox”, even though it looks similar. And the lens is not so useless, especially in the cold when the screen starts to malfunction. Zshelby writes that 14 MP is not impressive, but by what criteria do you compare? I compared the “grain” with Canon 8 MP and Nikon 12 MP - here it is less, although 14 MP is clearly obtained by interpolation, as in all “soapboxes”. Those models you mentioned, it surpassed in photo quality, but not in automatic mode. I repeat: the automatic mode of these models is primitive, but it would be foolish to demand from a “soapbox” the quality of a “DSLR”. Often mentioned as an alternative Nikon L120 shoots no better, and costs more, although it is considered faster. I agree with everyone who says that it is a good starting camera for switching to a “DSLR”, and I disagree with those who think that you can't get good pictures from it - you can if you try and study the features of the matrix, which is what I am doing now. I've already written something in the discussions, maybe I'll add more later. I won't give it 5 stars, but 4 is fine.
