Canon PowerShot SX610 HS - review

After I drowned my Samsung camera, which I was more than satisfied with, I decided to buy a replacement for it. The alternative had to be in the same price segment, also have a cmos matrix, be small in size so that you could put it in your pocket, and the quality of the pictures and videos so that it was not worse than in the previous one.

As a result, the choice fell on the Canon powershot SX610 Hs. I went to the store specifically to check the quality. But alas, it was necessary to charge the battery and there was no memory card to show. 2 days was enough to understand that he completely does not suit me. Not a single decent photo could be taken at home. The noise level was disappointing. The video is generally a quiet horror. The quality is disgusting. I even have a Sony Xperia M5 phone that takes better photos and videos. The previous camera had a cmos matrix and 10 megapixels. That is, it should be 2 times worse in theory, but in the end it turned out to be the opposite. I returned it to the store today. Perhaps the assembly is different. I had it like that when I bought a phone. The golden one did very muddy photos as they were not configured, and the white one is just great. Maybe this model also has different builds and I was just unlucky. I won't say that everything is absolutely terrible. But videos and photos are right at home in the evening under artificial lighting. And this quality does not suit me at all. I haven't tried it on the street.

Canon PowerShot SX610 HS is a great choice!
At that momentous hour, when the idea suddenly dawned on me to file my youtube channel, I realized that I actually had nothing to record the video for! My old camera ordered me to live for a long time, and even though the phone recorded HD video, it's not what you need. And after a short search (which you can watch in a separate video), the choice fell on the Canon PowerShot SX610 hs, and not without thoroughness.
Further characteristics: since I am far from a professional photographer, and in 99% of cases auto mode is enough for me, the main thing is to have time to get, turn on, point and click, then there were not so many criteria. 1) Wearability and size; 2) Full HD video; 3) The ability to remotely control the camera when it is on a tripod, specifically, to see the areas of the frame.
What did I get by buying this model of Canon PowerShot SX610 hs camera? Small in size (105x61x27 mm) and most importantly! Lightweight! (191 g, with batteries), recording video in 1920*1080 Full HD resolution and remotely controlled using NFC technology gadget! I'm as happy as an elephant!
He writes excellent videos, plus high-speed shooting, and I shoot a lot of videos at races, making mixes of races afterwards. So he completed his task 100%.
As for the photos.. he is far from a mirror, but it is easy to keep an archive of his memorable moments of life or take photos of his goods, crafts, etc.! Macro shooting is great!
The color rendering suffers from excessive naturalness, sometimes you want bright colors on the photo, and we get a normal, standard gray day, but a couple of clicks in Photoshop, and the photo is already playing with juicy colors, so it's all for an amateur!
By the way, the camera has a very strong case, it so happened that it fell from my tripod (1.5 meters high) and got off with only scratches on the case, it also works perfectly!
Well, the convenience of the menu! Canon, in my opinion, has the simplest and most convenient menu of all. It's easier to figure out!
There is one small disadvantage, apparently a design feature is the sound of dangling lens blinds, but you gradually get used to it and do not pay attention.
If you are thinking about purchasing this camera, I highly recommend it! And also I present to your attention a video review of this model of the Canon PowerShot SX610 hs camera.

I've been dreaming about a good camera for a very long time. Well, I like to take pictures of something, and all the time I had to make do with a phone that takes pictures more or less only in bright light.
And yesterday my boyfriend bought and gave me a digital camera. I was just ready to climb the wall with joy.
What is the price of it - he hides, but it is not particularly important. I didn't ask for anything fancy, I even agreed to Zenit for 1000. Yes, yes.
And so I opened the box with trembling hands... God, he's such a little square. I thought well, damn nonsense. I'm used to the fact that thin little digitals are worse than a phone. I always thought that a good camera should be a big one with a bulging "muzzle".
Included was a charger. The battery is removed from the digitizer and charged separately. I think it's pretty good. Anything happens, the battery can explode, melt. And this is him separately.
The digital has Wi-Fi... I really couldn't connect it to the computer. I read that this is for smartphones or tablets with some kind of program. That is, the photo can be transferred to a phone / tablet. You can also connect the camera to the TV (I don't know about Wi-Fi, there are definitely openings.
If macro shooting, video shooting. You can set it to auto-tune, you can manually.
I can't fully describe it, I'm a beginner and it's the first time I'm holding a digital camera in my hands.
Most of all I like macro. Of course, he doesn't see a grain of sand, but at least he doesn't blur what my phone is blurring.
In general, it's better to show how he takes pictures. I'm not a professional, I'm still learning, testing, getting used to it. So maybe the photos are not made for all the quality possible.
I've been using this digital for quite some time. Definitely - it's worth the money. This digital has become my faithful companion, I am now with him always and everywhere. Once I photographed a classmate - she said how it was taken on a prof.
As for the video. The quality is also wonderful, even if you shoot a movie. But there may not be enough memory and charging.
The only one I can take off in motion is my cat Marusechka. There was no flash. The object is not even under the light, but away (in the corner) from its direct hit. The object was moving (trying to steal the fish), I didn't use the flash. The frame-by-frame shooting mode (shooting in motion) was used. The camera will take pictures until you release the button, after that you can safely select a frame that is not blurred.
And these photos were taken on Kulikovo Field, in bad cloudy weather. I apologize if there were flaws, smudges, unnecessary objects somewhere. The fact is that I am small in stature and there was a crowd of tall people in front of me. I had to take photos on my toes and with my hand held high, and my hand was shaking a lot. In fact, the photos were taken at random, I didn't even see that photo. Photographed and that's it. I think the photos were not bad, considering all the problems.
If necessary, ask, I will definitely try out different modes and weather conditions for you. It's not difficult for me.
I think that for a digital camera, this is not even a bad quality. And if you really try, add light, pick up a good background, photoshop something, play with the settings, it will be almost like with a DSLR
