Canon EOS 1200D Kit Camera - reviews

Canon EOS 1200D Kit Camera - reviews

Although lately I've been too lazy to write reviews as often as I did before, but that's only because at the moment I'm trying to write about what's really important to me and what really shocked me lately.

That is why all my recent reviews are the most global and I went to write them for a long time, because I wanted to put in them as much useful information as possible, which may be useful to anyone who is going to buy a camera recently. I must say right away that I am not a professional and I needed a camera purely for myself, for amateur photos, because my phone has no camera and therefore I have always had pictures of good quality quite rarely. Most often I was photographed by friends and only at these moments I could post something interesting. Now I can take pictures of anything myself and not ask anyone about it.

The main reason for the purchase was that I constantly write reviews and it has already become an integral part of my life for me. Yes, it's just a hobby, but it's so nice to take high-quality photos and make your reviews as visual and useful as possible. And it's just nice to look at a high-quality picture. Personally, I always like to look at interesting photos, although some people use their phones to make a real Laughing out loud.

Before that, I had a digital camera from the same manufacturer and it works to this day with a bang. Perhaps I will write a review about him a little later. Yes, it was good, but I always wanted a better picture. I was also outraged every time that my previous camera had difficulty focusing. And another disadvantage of it was that with a flash it illuminated many of my pictures. Consequently, I had to watch for sunny days in order to photograph at least some cosmetics for reviews. And such days in the Urals happen once every five years and it was inconvenient for me.

When I came to the store, I immediately chose this particular model, because it had a fairly budget price compared to the others. The reviews on the site are all positive and I liked the photos that people get with Canon.

Personally, for some time now I have been buying equipment exclusively in MVideo. I have never been disappointed in purchases from there, while I always had problems with other electronics stores. Moreover, this applies both to stores specializing in the sale of cell phones, made a very unsuccessful purchase in Digital shope, and in a fairly popular Eldorado store.

Therefore, only MVideo, only hardcore. I went to this store with a support group for several months and studied different models, listened to the sellers' opinions about this camera, and after 3 months of thinking, it became mine. On the day of purchase, I was also heavily praised for the Nikon 3200, which was lowered in price that day in honor of some action. I remained steadfast and chose Canon.

It's just that the camera costs 24,990 money, but I immediately took the whole complex with the necessary components such as a memory card, a cloth for wiping the lens, a purse, a belt and the lens and camera itself. All together, it cost me 27,990 money. If I bought it all separately, the price would be much higher.

The handbag turned out to be very comfortable and I can't imagine how you can carry a DSLR with you everywhere without it. I would be constantly shaking over the fact that the camera did not fall from some height. Not heated, not scratched. Immediately buying a bag automatically eliminates all these problems and worries.

The cloth for wiping the lens is really very cool and one movement is enough, as all the dirt goes away at once and does not leave behind streaks and stains.

The camera itself is quite heavy, but it seems so only because I used to use exclusively digital cameras all my life. It weighs 480 grams, according to the information on the Internet and the instructions for the device.

Made very high quality. All buttons are triggered instantly and sometimes even faster than I expect. While my digital cameras often hung on a lot of photos, although they weighed much less than on a DSLR.

The material is selected very well and does not allow the Canon to slip out of your hands, which will be a plus for people whose palms are sweating. But I want to note that personally, under no circumstances do I use a camera before I put a belt around my neck. It is important for me that all the money is not wasted, so I take care of my friend like the apple of my eye. Moreover, my two previous photos were dropped either by me or by my friends. And after that, it was impossible to fix them.

In general, I like to experiment with different types of shooting and sometimes I use them for other purposes, but I like the result of such amateur activity much more. I do not limit myself to instructions and take pictures as my heart tells me. I like to shoot flowers for a portrait more. Moreover, they look brighter and more spectacular in the portrait. But it all depends on the lighting, sometimes it's really better to use the macro mode. Moreover, the photos turn out to be very bright and saturated, that's why I love pictures in nature. With such a background, any detail will look beautiful and harmonious. For this reason, I almost always take pictures on the camera on the street, because there is so much beauty around. I really like it when the background is blurred in the photo. And it is mirror cameras that always focus on the right detail, unlike digital cameras, which themselves decide what needs to be blurred and what to focus on. I photograph buildings in any mode and see how it looks better. Here, for example, the photo was taken for a portrait, but I like the photo.

I photograph people exclusively for a portrait and nothing else. The brightest and most spectacular photos are obtained using this shooting mode. This is where I like the blurry background, the brightness of the photo and in general how I fit into any picture.

For me personally, the Canon EOS 1200D camera turned out to be just perfect. I think that amateurs will definitely like it and professionals should appreciate it, especially if they experiment with different lenses. I am completely satisfied with the quality of the pictures, their resolution. They are clear and bright. With the help of a DSLR, it is very easy to photograph any text and small details. Many people like the effect of a blurred background, which is mostly found only in professional cameras. I also did not stay away and appreciated this beauty.

I like all the functions of the camera, I like its simplicity. A simple buyer will understand it without any problems, and for this he will even have to read the instructions.

The charge is enough for me for about 2 months of use, so you can not be afraid that during the trip it will sit down. But if you are going on vacation for a month, then of course you need to take a charge.

The device is charged for about 4 hours, which is also quite fast. My phone takes longer to charge, but at the same time it keeps charging for less than a day.

So, summing up, I want to say that I am very pleased with my purchase and glad that now I can finally take very high-quality photos. I've always enjoyed it, but now my photos are getting better and better, and I don't want to stop there, because I like the process of shooting.

I put Canon 5 stars out of 5 and recommend it to all lovers of bright photos and high-quality shooting.

For 5 years now, my family has been taking photos with a Canon EOS 1200D camera. We bought it because we were no longer satisfied with the old camera, because there were already more modern models that have better photo quality, more features, modes and functions. Also, a small child appeared in the family, whom I wanted to shoot on video and take high-quality photos of his growth and development.

We didn't choose the camera for long, because at that moment it was this one that immediately attracted attention. And after consulting, they bought it. Immediately they began to try to take photos, understand the modes and adapt to the new acquisition.

It is stored in a special bag for greater safety and convenient transportation. I would like to pay attention to the matte material, which does not allow the camera to slip out of your hands by carelessness. The lens makes it possible to zoom in by rotation. Zooms in and focuses quickly, so far there are no problems with this.

The video shoots as well as photographs - in Full HD format, resolution from 1280x720 to 1920x1080 pixels.

To work, of course, you need a memory card, which is purchased separately. The battery charge lasts for a long time. We don't use it often and we have to charge it only once every half a year.

For me, the main convenience is that photos can be sent through the camera to the phone via an adapter. You do not need to connect it to your laptop once again, then send a photo to it and only after all these operations upload it to your phone. The quality of the photos is excellent even when viewed on the phone.

Most often I use manual or macro mode. The photos are very bright, you can see every detail. Photos are taken quickly and as I said, there have never been any problems with it in 5 years of use. Of course, sometimes it takes longer to focus than usual, but I don't think this is a problem and goes into negative territory.

For me, Canon EOS 1200D has become an assistant in capturing bright, interesting and fun moments of life. I think it's a great camera for its value. He has never let me down and continues to work properly. I really like to take photos from time to time and it really lifts my mood to see such excellent quality with minimal effort. Some of my friends photographers started working with him and were satisfied. So I can conclude that it is suitable even for those who dream of mastering this profession or trying themselves in it.

To begin with, I just love taking pictures. Until recently, I used a regular soap dish, and then it seemed to me that she took great pictures. But after that, the camera, I can't even imagine how you can use a digital camera, even though the Canon EOS 1200D Kit positions itself as a camera for amateurs and novice photographers. I have a whale lens 18-55 IS.

The contents of the package, in addition to the camera: Instructions in Russian and Kazakh, two discs, also with instructions, maybe it's more convenient for someone, a charger, a battery already in the camera, a belt, also already on it, an interface cable, a protective cover for the device without a lens, as well as a cover for the lens, well, brochures.

The camera is not too heavy, but also not light. It turned out to be quite comfortable for my hands. The image can be observed both on the screen and in a small window above it. And what I noticed is that when you set up the window, the camera focuses faster than when you use the screen. The flash light opens automatically, you lower it yourself. The menu is not complicated, after a little digging you will quickly figure everything out. The photos are of very high quality. For a novice photographer, that's the thing. It turns out a great portrait. When magnified, each eyelash is highlighted. The background blurs not bad, especially if the background is placed away from the object. You can set up a certain mode, you can shoot in automatic mode, which I usually do, because sometimes I just take the camera for a walk, and on occasion I shoot every moment. A little later I will buy a lens at a higher price, but for now this is enough for my eyes.

I think this camera is a great option for both amateur and novice photographers. If you are still thinking whether to buy or not, then I advise you to buy. You won't regret it. The price will justify itself, then it will seem even cheaper. Buy, shoot, develop creatively, save every important and interesting moment of life.

Canon EOS 1200D Kit purchased on Avito, for 8000 money. The hostess said that she didn't need a DSLR anymore - she had the latest iPhone. I was surprised, I don't think the phone will replace such a camera, especially if you buy a decent lens.

I got a camera in a bag like this, there is also a brush for cleaning the lens, but I do not know how to use it.

I also know that there is a Bluetooth function and one that allows you to take photos from the camera, but at the same time looking at the laptop connected to it. I am far from these things, to be honest. There should be a disk and a wire in the kit, but since I bought it with my hands, I didn't find any of this.

The appearance is presentable - it is not huge and not flashy.

The battery charges quickly - about 3 hours.

The characteristics, which I also do not understand much, although I tried - you can see on the manufacturer's website. I think, apart from the number of megapixels and even a couple of parameters, nothing is clear and uninteresting to a beginner. Only when the photos are not like on the cover will you begin to put effort into the photo and gradually figure out what's what.

This thing is in order to set manual or auto modes - there are a lot of them and video shooting, which is also high-quality. I learned how to use the Av mode - with aperture priority. I tried to regulate the Lordship - nothing good came out.

The display is large and convenient, at the bottom right is the number of photos you can take in this mode, at the bottom left is the battery charge, in the middle is the image quality.

I also want to say that photos taken during the day are much better than in the evening. In summer, the photo is cooler than in autumn - when it's cloudy.

I began to miss the portrait lens - I wanted more lively photos of people.

The quality of the photo is decent, I have printed A4 photos so far only - without complaints.

Once upon a time there was a girl Lisa who dreamed of a SLR camera, during the "dreams" she held 2 cameras of 2 different brands in her hands - Canon and Sony. Canon impressed more, because there was time with the permission of the hostess to dig into the settings. And neither I nor the hostess understood anything about Sony. And in auto mode, they shot only in it there was a lot of noise in the photo.

When choosing a camera, the choice was between Nikon and Canon. Canon has gained the upper hand in this fight.

Finally that day came. We bought a camera and went home to sort out the settings and try my new "toy".

Now about the camera itself.

It fits comfortably in your hand, not heavy, just right for beginners or just for family use. I don't know about others, but personally I am satisfied with the whale lens. The cost was also normal for a DSLR at that time - only 23,000 money.

Now let's look at the disadvantages encountered in other reviews.

Can't focus in dark places for a long time.

In order to focus the frame on an object in a dark room, it is enough to switch the camera to manual focus.

Too heavy.

This minus is different for everyone. It is easy for someone to hold this camera in their hands and their hands do not get tired. Others, on the contrary, get tired of his hands.

Terrible macro mode.

I will say one thing about the macro - the whale lens is not very suitable for it. If you want a good macro, go for a macro lens. Keith shoots macro as much as he can, and you don't have to blame the whole camera for that.

The display does not turn.

I don't see any significant drawback in that, because there is no need for a rotary screen yet. Again, everyone has their own. For example, it is more interesting for me to bend in different poses to get an interesting photo.

Terrible whale lens.

I will say this: the lens is suitable for training. Yes, he doesn't give some super-duper beautiful bokeh. Don't expect a very big approach from him either. If you want a bokeh, a good macro or another parameter, buy a carcass and a lens separately.

Now let's move on to the photos. Most likely, the quality will be slightly lost due to the reduction in the size of the photos.

For a long time I was ready to write a review about my friend and assistant - the Canon EOS 1200D SLR camera. And now, finally, it happened. I will try to write in detail about this camera, about all the pros and cons, yes, there are some, and I will also give many examples of photos so that my review will help someone. And it's just that, for example, I like to read great reviews about cameras where there are a lot of photos; I like to look at various photos.

I love taking pictures. This has long been known to all my friends and family. And also my beloved daughter is growing up, and of course, I take most of the photos with her. Earlier, moreover, for many years I used not a SLR camera, but a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ-28 camera, which turned out to be very cool! Here is my review of him - my best friend Panasonic.

And also, there was a sad experience with the Nikon Coolpix soap dish - I was disappointed in it.

After suffering with a small, beautiful, but no soap dish, I finally bought a Canon. I think the prairies between Canon and Nikon will never end, who is better, who is cooler, etc. But I chose based on reviews, design and price. I didn't want to take a camera for 30 thousand or more, because I don't have it for global purposes. That's why I chose 1200D.

Modes of operation of the camera.

1. There are 4 creative modes that expand the camera control capabilities:

M (manual exposure)
Av (AE with aperture priority)
Tv (AE with shutter priority)
P (Software AE)

2. Automatic intelligent mode. What can I say, automation is automation. It is very convenient for those who are just starting to understand photography or for those who simply have no time to set up creative modes and need to take pictures quickly. But not only fast, but also beautiful. It's about me. I took most of the photos in automatic mode, because I had to do everything quickly. And I liked the photos. In this mode, the camera itself will pick up the necessary numbers (exposure, ISO, etc.) and make you a good frame. You can also choose the atmosphere of the picture. The light in the photo depends on it. In some mode it is dark, in some warm orange, and so on. I will tell you about the atmospheres later and in more detail with examples of photos.

3. No flash mode. It is very difficult to shoot here without a tripod, because in this mode the risk of image smearing is very high, especially if the room is dark. There are no such problems on the street or at home in daylight, but in other cases, if I can't shoot with a flash, I have to try pretty hard to keep the image from smearing. Here I sometimes escape by serial shooting, because then I can choose from a variety of images a few that turned out clearly. There are always such.

4. SA (Creative automatic mode). Here you can set the background - blurry or clear. You can adjust the shutter speed, sensitivity and much more yourself. In general, for those who are very well versed in this - it's just a fairy tale! You can configure everything yourself.

5. Portrait. I really like this mode, I use it often. Just like in automatic mode, here you can choose the atmosphere you need for shooting - standard, lively, soft, warm, enhanced, cold, bright, dark and monochrome. You can also choose the lighting you need. And yet, the standard advice for someone is that the greater the distance between a person (or any other object) and the background from behind, the better. This way the background will be more blurry, thereby making the photo more beautiful and professional. I like to shoot portraits with a flash when I move away from a person a few meters, zoom in on the face with the lens and take pictures. clear and beautiful lines are obtained.

6. Landscape. Here you can also choose the atmosphere and light, as in other films. And also, in this mode, the camera's viewing angle increases slightly, thereby capturing a large area. You can really make a cool landscape! The mode makes the images very clear, so when I shoot landscapes and then zoom in, details are clearly visible (houses in the distance, people, vehicles, trees, etc.).

7. Close-up (Macro). Once my favorite mode was macro. How many photos in this style I took on my last camera, a lot. In this mode, everything is quite simple. It is necessary to be located as close as possible to the object, not to overload the background and this camera will do everything by itself. And most importantly - you can mistakenly bring the camera too close. So don't, because you still won't be able to take a picture. The camera simply won't focus, the image will be completely fuzzy.

8. Sports or a moving object. Here photos are taken quickly and if something or someone is in motion, then the picture turns out to be clearer, not smeared. In this mode, I shoot a little. But I want to catch up)) I will definitely try to do it later!

9. Night portrait. I really love this mode when I'm on vacation and taking pictures of the night landscape from the balcony of my room. Lanterns, palm trees, hotels - everything turns out great. It also turns out pretty natural good colors. To prevent the image from smearing, you need to try. You can also choose the atmosphere.

10. Videography. To be honest, I am not very friendly with this function, because when I want to shoot something, it is difficult to focus, the image constantly wants to blur. Also, while shooting a video, you can not zoom in and out, it's not very convenient. In general, this camera is practically not used for video. only if in the rarest cases.

And now let's take a closer look at the atmospheres of the image, because they can be selected in almost every mode.

What are they like:

Standard. Most often I choose it. Here the camera itself adjusts the light, clarity and so on.
Bright. A brighter picture than in a standard atmosphere. However, you can not use this atmosphere, if then you still process photos on the computer, because it is there that you can add brightness to the photo. and it will turn out exactly the same.
Soft. The object looks softer, the contours are not clear. I don't like this atmosphere, although maybe I just didn't come across such subjects for photos so that this atmosphere would fit.
Warm. Here, I think, everything is clear. All the colors in the photo are warmer, in soft tones and also, the image is softer, not clear.
Reinforced. That's a great atmosphere. All the colors in the photo, especially the background is less bright, and the object itself is clearer and brighter. It's cool to distinguish people in this atmosphere.
Cold. Also everything is clear. Clear. cool and contrasting colors. The picture turns out to be muted, not bright and not particularly colored.
Lighter or Darker. Here without bells and whistles)) Just the image will be either lighter or darker, depending on the choice.
Monochrome. Cool atmosphere. You can even choose from four colors - white, black, blue or sepia. The image will be beautifully monochrome.

The camera has shooting in LiveView mode - that is, you can see the shooting area on the big screen without looking into the small window of the viewfinder. to be honest, I don't really like to turn on this mode, because after all, when you look at the intended photo, you better see how it will be cooler, where to zoom in or where to move away, as well as how to move the object.

There is also frame-by-frame shooting or serial shooting, when you press the shutter release, the shooting goes on continuously and then you can choose the most successful shots. I already wrote about this once when I was talking about the "No Flash" mode.

There is also a timer - 2 seconds, 10 seconds and a timer with serial shooting when, after the selected time, not one frame will be taken, but many. It is also very convenient when you can choose the best.

There is a function to reduce the effect of red eyes, but it does not guarantee that there will definitely be no red eyes, it only reduces this effect or tries to prevent it. Therefore, the function is, in principle, useless.

There is a lens image stabilizer that makes the pictures clearer and not smudged if the camera shakes too much.

There are still some good features that allow you to prevent any breakdowns or saves battery power.:

- If the camera is turned on and you open the cover where the battery and memory card are, it will automatically turn off.

- After 30 seconds of inactivity (if the camera is turned on, but you are not taking pictures), the camera automatically turns off to save charge. By the way, in tinctures, you can change the auto-off time, that is, it may not be 30 seconds, but more.

To be honest, I can't say how much the battery holds in time and how many frames can be taken at once, because I fully charge the battery and that's it, for a long time I forget about it, without touching the charging at all. Only after a long time, my battery runs out. It's generally gorgeous.

Recommendations:

- If the camera is not used for a long time and is in the off state for a long time, you need to pull out the battery, because when it is inside for a long time and is not used, the battery simply discharges itself and its performance decreases, i.e. soon it will discharge quickly when working with the camera and you will have to buy a new one.

- There is no need to try to charge any other batteries in the charger in order to save money.

- Get a bag right away, or rather a special case for the camera. Not a small one, but one that is strong enough and large enough to include both a camera and a charger. This is very convenient and such cases are quite durable. If you drop it, nothing will happen to the camera.

- Do not lose the lens cap. I lost it and now I need to constantly clean it, because it gets dusty. When the camera was without a case, it was constantly gathering dust, now this happens less often in the case.

In general, I am happy with the camera, despite a couple of small disadvantages. She is beautiful, not heavy like many prof.DSLRs, convenient to use, holds a charge for a long time, has many functions. In short, it is an indispensable assistant in our life to save many moments and then view photos after many years.

***

Some time ago I decided to make myself a gift - to buy a good camera. Before that, I used only soap dishes, but the quality of their photos and videos left much to be desired. I chose for a very long time, read a lot of reviews and eventually settled on the Canon EOS 1200D model. Firstly, because it is perfectly suitable for amateur beginners, and secondly, it had a very good price for a DSLR - 22990 money.

Included with it are a belt, a battery and charger, a lens, 2 discs - with programs and detailed instructions.

The bag and the memory card must be purchased separately.

I will not go into technical specifications in detail, but will focus on my impressions.

Everything you need, nothing superfluous...

The very first thing you pay attention to is that the camera has a nice appearance, it does not look cheap at all. The case is plastic with rubber inserts. The coating is very pleasant to the touch and quite durable.

The camera is light, even if you hold it with one hand, fatigue or any discomfort is not felt.

It is convenient and easy to operate, all buttons are located on the right side, which allows you to change settings with one hand. The menu is clear and concise, quickly and easily mastered. There are also on-screen prompts, they inform about the essence of parameters, modes and functions, which is very convenient for a novice amateur photographer.

What other advantages can be noted:

* Good auto-focus, fast enough.

* Long battery life - more than 500 pictures, if you rarely use Live View mode (which allows you to use the camera display as a viewfinder, viewing the image being captured on it).

* The ability to change lenses.

There are also disadvantages:

* In Live-view mode, it focuses very slowly.

* There is no lace on the lens cap, so it constantly tries to get lost

* It's hard to get good photos without a tripod in the dark or in dark rooms without a flash - they often get blurred.

* In the video recording mode, the buzzing sound of the autofocus motor is heard (I'll tell you a little more below)

But these shortcomings are absolutely not critical for me.

The road of a thousand kilometers begins with the first step...

To be honest, immediately after purchasing the camera, I did not go into the "wilds" and took pictures on the machine, choosing one of the plot programs, among which I particularly liked "Sport" - it allows me to shoot my children, who cannot sit still for a second. Most of these photos turned out to be clear and bright, so for the first time I had enough automation.

There are 13 shooting modes in total:

Intelligent Scenario Mode, No Flash, Creative Auto Mode, Portrait, Landscape, Macro, Sports, Night Portrait, Video Shooting

Separately, I will highlight the modes of the creative zone:

Software auto exposure, Auto exposure with shutter priority, Auto Exposure with Aperture priority, Manual exposure

At some point I decided to master creative modes, found video tutorials on the Internet and started learning the basics of photography. It turned out to be an interesting case and not at all as difficult as it seemed to me at first. So now I mainly use Av (aperture priority) and Tv (shutter priority) modes.

The more possibilities, the harder it is to choose...

In creative modes and story programs, you can adjust brightness, contrast, saturation and color tone, as well as select a filter (monochrome, sepia, blue, magenta).

There is a possibility to choose the image style, there are 9 of them in total, as well as image processing, for example, brightness auto-correction, noise reduction during long exposure, artistic filters (there is not much choice here - there are only 5 of them), etc.

But it's easier for me to use graphic editors for this purpose. Here are the minimally processed photos in them.

I will tell you separately about the video shooting mode. The camera allows you to choose one of several video recording formats, which is very pleasing - there is Full HD at 25 frames/sec and 24 frames/sec. HD format and standard recording quality are also available.

The video quality suits me 100%.

However, here I found a small drawback - the autofocus operation in this mode is not perfect – objects sometimes go out of focus, and attempts to focus lead to the fact that the buzzing sound of the motor is recorded on video, which, of course, does not decorate it. You have to focus before shooting or start shooting a little earlier than planned, and then cut out an unsuccessful fragment.

The camera will be an excellent choice for those who are just beginning to explore the world of photography.

The camera is ideal for shooting everyday scenes, holidays, children, adults, nature, animals. Functional, easy to use, allows you to get good quality pictures even with a whale lens. Low price, light weight and good autonomy are a nice addition to all of the above.

And if there is a desire to add or improve something, this can easily be done by buying other lenses, although some of them will cost more than this camera. So I recommend it!

For those who want to photograph their children and capture the brightest moments of life - this is an ideal option.
