The Canon Zoemini S instant printing camera was bought for me by my husband before one of the holidays as a surprise, so I did not choose its technical characteristics in advance, but simply used what I received and will tell only about my impressions.

What are instant printing cameras for?

A long time ago, back at school, I had a Polaroid that was fashionable then, and pictures from it are still stored in family archives and photo albums. And then digital cameras appeared, photos almost stopped being printed, and basically everyone stores only folders with photos on computers or somewhere in the cloud, and not tons of paper photos at home.

But now the fashion for instant printing cameras has suddenly returned, it has suddenly become fashionable and relevant to hold a real printed frame in your hands, and not just share a photo on social networks.

Description of the CANON ZOEMINI S camera

The Zoemini S instant printing camera from Canon is presented by the manufacturer in different colors and shades, there are matte, shiny options, there are bright colors, and so on: my camera is in Rose Gold Rose Gold, this is a beautiful shade of "dusty pink" with a slight metallic sheen, one of the iPhones used to be in this color, and maybe there is now.

I will not list all the technical details about the camera, they are easy to find, I will only give a short description of it from the manufacturer.

The appearance of the CANON ZOEMINI S camera

The camera looks very cute, compact, which is smaller than the iPhone in length, but slightly wider than it, and very light, almost weightless.

When buying the camera, it is packed in a small cardboard box, it contains the camera itself, a strap for carrying the camera on your wrist, a USB charging cord, documents and a trial cartridge for 10 pictures.

Zoemini S you can take pictures of something yourself or take a selfie, the camera has a flash, you can turn it on and off, the camera is very simple to control, there are very few buttons on it, you won't have to deal with it for a long time, the main thing is just to charge it, insert the cartridge and that's it - you can already take pictures.

The photo after the shooting is printed out immediately, which for me is more of a minus than a plus: after all, we are already used to having the opportunity to first look at the photo, make sure that everything turned out well, no one blinked and did not turn out to be slim enough, and only then print it out.

I know that fast printing cameras with such functions already exist, you can take a photo on them, first look at it and only then press the "print" button, but Zoemini S prints immediately and for me this is a minus, but some say that this is exactly the magic and magic of such a device, how many people have so many opinions.

It is very convenient, by the way, that all photos are obtained not just photos, but stickers: each photo has a protective film on the reverse side like a regular sticker and it can easily be pasted into a commemorative album, pasted on a refrigerator, glued to a special board of wishes or memories, in general, for creative people, such photos are a very cool idea in my opinion a look and a great flight for imagination and creativity.

How high-quality photos does an instantaneous camera take?

Firstly, I want to especially note the very small size of the photos that are obtained with the Zoemini S camera: the size of the photo turns out to be 5 by 7 cm, that is, in order to better represent it in size, it is about like a bank card, even a little smaller. I know that children's instant printing cameras make photos even smaller, but these pictures personally seem to me quite tiny, for some reason I thought that the format would be at least half as large.

Secondly, I do not know how other similar devices work, but the quality of photos from my Zoemini S from Canon leaves much to be desired in my opinion: they all turn out to be pale bluish, a little pastel, not juicy and bright enough, in general, to my taste, the photo quality is below average and does not cause delight.

But on the other hand, most often all such photos are memories and pleasant moments, so I keep even photos in not the best quality. I almost never print photos on purpose, and here is such an occasion to get a photo from the holiday immediately in a ready-made form, hang it on the refrigerator, for example, or paste it into a diary and rejoice every time remembering something good.

The camera can work like a pocket printer. The camera can connect via Bluetooth with a smartphone, for this you only need to install a special application and there will already be a cool opportunity not just to take photos, but to use the camera as a mini-printer to print out any photo from your phone.

This function is personally my favorite, because here you can choose the most successful photo, and the quality of the photos turns out much better: any smartphone on average shoots, of course, much better than this camera, so the photo is juicier, brighter, sharper and just cuter.

In what cases is an instant printing camera useful?

As I said, my husband bought me a camera before my birthday, but not as a gift, but in order to make the party more memorable: we bought cartridges, and then took funny photos during the holiday, photographed the guests and took pictures with them.

At the party there was a special place for pasting photos and inscriptions, a large empty poster, which at the end of the party turned into a bright collage with bright photos, captions, funny moments and funny photos with signatures of guests.

Many guests took photos with them, now many of my friends have photos from the party hanging on the refrigerator and remind me of this, I think it's very cute.

Similarly, an instant print camera can be used at weddings, anniversaries, graduations, I saw at school a huge collage created after such a graduation for a teacher. It seems to me that this idea is very cute and can diversify any holiday, the main thing here is not to forget that without recharging the camera can print about 25 photos, then it will need to be recharged a little.

Well, according to the classics, such cameras help to make archives, collections, a friend of mine takes pictures and glues photos of shoes that are stored in a box on top of the box, so as not to look for the right pair for a long time, someone does this with other packages in the closet (decorates with photos), in general, if desired, there are many application options.

In general, the Zoemini S camera from Canon for me has of course both advantages and disadvantages.

It is impossible to edit or even just look at the photo before printing

The expensive price of cartridges.

In general, for me Zoemini S is certainly not a serious camera, but rather a funny toy that can make life a little more convenient, but only in certain situations. Buying such a thing with the hope of high-quality photos is certainly not worth it.

It seems to me that such a camera is more suitable just for entertainment, in order to save some funny or touching moments for yourself, and also in order to have at least some printed photos at all and stick a couple of frames from the last trip on the refrigerator, which will always make you smile and remember about something pleasant.
